Glasgow Middle School's Gifted and Talented Program provides an exciting, academically advanced curriculum for students who are intellectually and/or artistically talented. The program provides opportunities for students who are committed to exploring their passions and interests in an environment that promotes creativity and encourages intellectual curiosity.

• has been designated a Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education?
• has over 240 students involved in Gifted/Scholastic Academy/Great Scholars/Talented programs?
• offers thirteen high school credit classes for Gifted students? Included are the following courses: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math, Physical Science, World History-Honors, Computer Science I, French I, French II, Spanish I, Spanish II, Latin I, and Latin II.
• Has teachers and administrators who regularly present at national conferences?
• has an Emmy award winning talented music teacher?
• has four National Board Certified teachers?
• has highly qualified, gifted certified teachers and talented teachers who are professionals in their fields?

• represent over 50 different cultures/countries?
• can earn up to 8 units of high school credit while at Glasgow?
• represent the state every year in the national MATHCOUNTS Competition? In 2011 and in 2005, a Glasgow student placed first in the nation.
• regularly win awards at national/district/state levels at science and social studies fairs, BETA conventions, math contests, academic competitions, art contests, and music competitions?
• take exciting field trips to places like Louisiana Interferometer Gravitational Observatory (LIGO), Vicksburg, Honey Island Swamp, Renaissance Village, downtown Baton Rouge, Finance Park, and ExxonMobil Engineering?
