Latin Mass

When people think of the "Latin Mass" they often think of the so-called "Tridentine Rite". This form of Mass, in general use up until the reform of the liturgy begun after the Second Vatican Council (and recently restored to general use by Pope Benedict XVI), is now known as the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite.

The form of Mass used in most parishes is known as the
Ordinary Form, and is most often celebrated in the vernacular. At St Patrick's we celebrate the Ordinary Form of Mass in Latin every Sunday at 4pm.
